What Does Your Fall Capsule Wardrobe Look Like?

Hello! I hope everyone had a great summer. I had plenty of time to unplug and relax and now I am back and ready to serve up some fall style!

My favorite way to take on a new season is to play mix and match with items in my wardrobe and create as many outfits as possible. I remember countless hours of my childhood playing “dress up” out of my own closet. How can I wear my hot pink kitty sweatshirt with my bright blue high top Reeboks? It is can get a little obsessive and it lights up my brain like Christmas tree.

I know that not everyone feels this way. Client after client has shared with me how much they hate the process of creating outfits and how much it frustrates them. So, I am going to start putting together example capsule wardrobes on the blog to show my process and hopefully inspire you to play a little in your closet. In each capsule wardrobe, I will throw in some wild cards and trends to make things interesting and, admittedly, make it a little more fun for me.

What is a capsule wardrobe? A capsule wardrobe can be defined in many ways. I see a capsule wardrobe as a collection of clothing chosen for color, silhouette, occasion and quality that can be easily mixed to create many outfits. Capsule wardrobes help make getting dressed easier, save you money, are better for the earth and help you define a personal style.

The theme of this capsule is Office Wear for the Triangle Body Shape. I chose 10 pieces and added a pair of jeans for two bonus casual looks.
