COLOR CLASH!

It is January in Vermont. I am looking out my window as I write and everything is gray. You know when you are craving something and instead of just having a bite you have the whole damn thing, and then maybe another? Well, that is what I am feeling about color right now. Yes, a little red would be nice, but I want Red AND Turquoise and I want A LOT of it. Enter my first blog of 2021 and it is all about COLOR CLASH.

Light me up sweet unexpected color combinations. Please chase away the gray.

Below are some color clashing inspo from style stars like Ester Bellón and Blair Eadie. Please enjoy some color meaning and inspiration notes. And, for the outfit nerds, I created a collage in each color combo to breakdown the outfits.

First up: LILAC AND BROWN

Lilac is a spiritual and mysterious color. Pairing it with brown, which is grounding and stable is giving me feminine, earthy vibes with a dash of witchiness.

Why I am obsessed with it?

Probably from watching Harry Styles at the Jingle Ball on repeat.

OLIVE GREEN AND HOT PINK

Olive green is a peaceful color and promotes harmony. Hot pink is joyful and inspiring. The two together feel like a party I want to go to.

Why I am obsessed with it?

Kelly Ripa was wearing a hot pink belt with an olive green dress on her morning show and here we are…

RED AND TURQUOISE

Red is the color of love and passion. Feelings of power and revolution can also be evoked. Turquoise is an all over positive color. It relaxes the viewer and inspires trust. It is also refreshing and calming.

Why I am obsessed with it?

I look really good in these colors. Selfish? Yep. Smart? Absolutely. Want to know what colors you look good in, let me know. I am a Certified Color Consultant.

I hope I helped chase a bit of the gray away. Now go surround yourself in color and let the magic happen.

Love, Lisa
